Loyal Bill of the Birds watcher Rondeau Ric has a nephew in Alberta, Canada who, while lost one day, stumbled upon what may very well be the world's (certainly Canada's) largest AND ugliest prairie dog. Thanks Ric (I think)!

You know there's a whole site devoted to giant things of Canada, right? I found their photo of a giant piping plover (http://www.roadsideattractions.ca/chaplina.htm) whilst looking for info about captive rearing of plover chicks in Saskatchewan.

I was looking for a picture of a female purple finch and stumbled across your site. I really enjoyed your pics and bringing back the memories of the drinking bird was wonderful, I will now be buying one on ebay! I loved your pics, thanks for sharing, I was sad when the page was done.
