My friend Tim Driscoll from Grand Forks, ND sent me this impressive image of the giant sandhill crane in Steele, ND. Though I have been to Steele, I somehow managed to miss this unmissable object. Usually these giant things sing to me in my subconcious, and I am helpless to avoid finding them.Well I'll have a chance to right this cosmic wrong when Julie and I attend The Potholes and Prairie Birding Festival from June 8 to 11, 2006. Festival HQ in Jamestown, ND is just a modest drive away from Steele and its giant crane. Can't wait!
