

And Liam loves trains the way his mother and I love birds--he's utterly consumed with trains. So with no further prospects among the wooden Thomas set, and knowing that sooner or later he would want to play with more realistic trains, we got Liam a Lionel electric train set for his birthday. My dad (BT2) and I (BT3) made a 4' x 8' train table for Liam (BT4) and set it up in the basement. Really, Dad made the table and I helped a little. It's beautiful! We surprised Liam with it. Seeing his face and knowing what he was feeling when he saw his birthday present--well, there's just no way to describe it.
