Our turkeys returned this morning after a year-long hiatus. The bucketful of cracked corn flung under the Virginia pines finally proved too alluring to them, and they honored us with their presence.Soon the males will be strutting, gobbling loudly, and displaying. And the females will be ignoring them as usual.
Some things never change, no matter the season, no matter the species.
