Our New Name!

It is with great pride and excitement that we announce our magazine's new name: Wild Bird Watcher's World (and Blooms)! Here's the cover of the first issue, which is mailing out today. We can't WAIT to hear what you think.

As you can see, we're still publishing only the very best, most engaging content. We loved the name Bird Watcher's Digest but we feel our NEW name really captures what we're all about. And what you're all about.

Borrowing a page from Martha Stewart and Oprah, I'll be featured on every cover, doing what I love to do most: being on the cover of a magazine.

Stay tuned!

  3. I am looking forward to this new name and all those awesome articles in your magazine...I surely want to know how to find butterflies by ear...You all are amazing.
I hope to pick up some great pointers from you at the New River Birding festival!
Can we all get tattoos together?

  5. That's the originality and flair we look for you this fine publication. And following the fine tradition of Muamarr al-Qaddafi and Hugo Chavez and Robert Mugabe, we need to see more of our leaders. I think Bill should be shown in each photo in the mag. Holding a cerulean warbler that's eating a caterpillar, or soaring in a hang-glider in a kettle of broadwings. Go BWD, I mean, new titled mag.

  7. ...Happy April Fool's Day...I have someone else tick check me while I'm naked, no fooling. Anybody wanna help?

I adore nature and all the naturalness of my surroundings on a good long hike. Ahh re-remebering the days of yore when we'd throw down a blanket any ole' place and look at the birds and bees and learn a few things about birding.

    Love the new title BTW.

  10. This issue looks to be an immediate classic! (...worth the purchase price just to learn the 'kent' 'kent' call of the Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly!)

  12. I definitely need to renew now! I'm really looking forward to the butterfly article, the bewildering array of butterfly vocalizations has been the main thing keeping me from getting into them.

  13. Wandering around Texas, limited internet time (I'd rather be birding) so it took a minute to realize what day it was.
    Almost got me.
