I don't care if they are greedy and take away more than their share of the goodies, their beautiful blue is payment enough.

Until I started offering peanuts-in-the-shell, I never saw a jay here. Now, once the peanuts or suet dough goes out, I can count on 5 or 6 to show up immediately. They take away all the peanuts, then vanish until the next day.

Great action shots - do you find Blue jays notoriously hard to photograph? I can never get even one photo in focus and composed; they move around too much.

~KathiKatDochttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13186814675058675885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2552045987668023231.post-84586261094092954292008-02-21T09:03:00.000-05:002008-02-21T09:03:00.000-05:00I'd love to watch the jays do that here. Knock down free-for-all! Great series of photos, Bill. I always laugh here.Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02040099513110890878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2552045987668023231.post-22246674300955045252008-02-21T08:53:00.000-05:002008-02-21T08:53:00.000-05:00That jay looks fat and happy to me! Nice pics!

AlanAlanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07784439710406781235noreply@blogger.com
