Great captions...but the question is what really were they doing with that orange stuff on their shoes???
Larry: It's an anti-burr and chigger strategy that they employ on the King Ranch in Texas. The grass where we were is full of both sand burrs and chiggers. The tape prevents them from latching on to your shoes, sox, and plants legs.
Plus it looks awesome!

I personally think the caption contest idea was made up just so BOTB could get more comments on his blog than a certain Science Chimp gets with photos of Chet as a puppy.
