While driving to central Ohio for a board meeting of the Ohio Ornithological Society on Saturday, this sunrise happened upon me, or rather, we happened upon each other.
So I did what any normal shutterbug/naturalist would do: I pulled off the interstate and stole its soul.

Beautiful sunrise Bill.
It's our reward for being up early.
Do you ever stay home?
No, he doesn't. That's why they call him Bill "The Road" Thompson. But they're usually calling him on his cell phone.
Wonderful image of a sun pillar.
From Peterson Field Guides: Atmosphere: The pillar is produce by thin hexagonal plates floating in the air with their largest dimension horizontal. The rays of the sun are reflected from the top surface of one to the bottom surface of another, reinforcing the rays in a vertical direction ...
May I say....Sha-zaam. Those photos are rich. Hope you get some good ones in Florida too! Happy shutter finger!
