We are at 63 species.
This beats 2005's score of 62, but not the record of 65.
We need 2 to tie the record and 3 to break it.
We hit a wall this afternoon.
Steve McCarthy got us a flock of wild turkeys on a distant ridge to get to 63.
Aaaarrggh!
Still working hard to beat the sun's setting.....

Laugh. I got 3 species. Sheesh! There should be a prize for the most pitiful day of birding! :)

About 11.45 Sunday night I recall wandering onto the deck and I’m sure I saw a grackle, a cow bird, a rust blackbird and a raven winging their way against a black sky…..
